Dr Giri is a fellowship-trained Shoulder, Sports and Complex Trauma surgeon. He completed his Orthopaedic Residency at the Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital, Salem, India. He did the Trauma and Limb Reconstruction Surgery fellowship at the Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, which is one of the leading trauma centres in India. He completed his Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship under Dr. David V. Rajan, one of the pioneers of arthroscopy in India, at the Ortho One Orthopaedic Specialty Center, India. He underwent advanced shoulder training in New England Baptist Hospital, Boston, United States. He also underwent the IASES West Coast Travelling Fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He now works as a Junior Attending in Shoulder and Upper Limb surgery at MIOT International, Chennai, India. He is the Lead of Operations at the Orthopaedic Research Group, Coimbatore, India. He strongly values translational research.
